Berlin, Germany, June 21, 2018
Last week, housing industry players rallied together under the“Digi-All“ slogan at the 6th annual WohnZukunftsTag (Living Future) 2018 conference, organized by GdW National Federation of German Housing and Real Estate Enterprises, in the Tempodrom in Berlin. GdW President, Axel Gedaschko, opened the event with the question: “What do you do to get yourself digitally fit and how fit are your employees?” Lectures on “BIM Me Up”, “Leasing 4.0” and “Artificial Stupidity and Natural Intelligence”, amongst other engaging panels, were leading mainstream conversations about the pending transformations within the housing industry.
YTWO Formative’s senior consultant, Markus Vaas, had the opportunity to contribute in the “BIM Me Up” panel and presented an inspiring lecture titled “From Concept to Completion – Building the Future” to an energetic audience. YTWO Formative not only led a panel about the advantages and disadvantages of BIM, but also answered audience members questions relating to management tips for enterprises shifting from traditional to digital construction to promote and sustain digital transformation. Forward-thinking attendees took this occasion to improve their working knowledge of how the construction and housing industries need to evolve in order to manage projects more effectively. Equally and fundamentally important, the introduction of industrializing the supply chain management processes in the homebuilding industry was a major takeaway for all attendees. As a part of the educational lecture, YTWO Formative presented the need and benefits of model-based work as an essential first step towards building the future. A future where smart homes and artificial intelligence will be part of everyday life.
TThe “WohnZukunftsTag2018” offered an open atmosphere and environment where thought leaders and visionaries within the housing industry could exchange views and discuss modern solutions for the future of homebuilding. Markus Vaas, YTWO Formative’s “From Concept to Completion – Building the Future” speaker, was very satisfied with the WohnZukunftsTag 2018. In a statement about the conference, Markus said, “I am glad that I was allowed to take part in such an event as a speaker. The GdW proactively deals with the problems and solutions of tomorrow. GdW showcased an assortment of best practices for homebuilders looking to take their first steps towards digital transformation, and we’re honored to have been a part of this conversation.”
